Pros

Excellent management that does not micro-manage us. Great products. The "Microchip Culture" is an amazing thing that cannot be found anywhere else.

Cons

The only "con" I can think of is that we keep buying companies and we have to always learn new products and solutions. But that is really a great thing!

Pros

Microchip is a special company. Instead of having a few large customers, it has thousands of small customers. This makes it stable (one customer loss will not sink the ship). It has been able to weather a few economical storms better than the average technology company. It has a very pragmatic management style.

Cons

This place may not be very exciting for young people. A lot of products are 10+years old, which is fantastic from an ROI point of view, but very boring from a young energetic professional's point of view.
