Pros

Trick is to really understand where you want to work, and pick the right team. If you want fast career advance, pick a high growth team such as Bing or Ads Center, and stay away from traditional Office and Windows teams. These teams also allow greater flexibility and innovation. If you would rather work on honing your technical skills only, you should choose the more traditional teams. Overall, great place to work and benefits are some of the best in the industry.

Cons

Career growth can be slow in some traditional teams.

Pros

Salary, salary and salary. Perks and benefits are good too. Company has a very good campus with good sports facility too.

Cons

Zero People management. No care of employee's interests. Terrible working style. Start as a fresher from college and this would be the world for you. Else its tough to make a career from bottm up.

Pros

Microsoft is a great place to learn technical skills and how huge software project are run (it is not as organized and deterministic as you may think) The Benefits are great specially medical insurance

Cons

The review system depends on power balance between the different managers. So it is very easy to get your promotion delayed if you have weak manager. Manual Testers (Test Engineer Role) has been eliminated from most parts of the company so SDETs have to balance writing automation and doing manual type testing. This cause many SDETs to compromise in one of them to get to the other which cause bad bugs to slip and low quality automation code. The turn over rate in Test is so high so you always has more work than what you can do.
