      Pros

      Microsoft has some of the smartest people in the industry, and working with such intelligent and motivated people every day has a positive impact on your own abilities and intelligence. The company has access to a wealth of internal resources and the capital to make industry-changing investments. Also, the health benefits are the best I have ever had.

      Cons

      The company has grown very large, and its products compete in so many areas, that representing any of them at the field level in any depth is extremely difficult. Also, as the company continues to mature its sales processes and become more of a sales culture, more and more time is spent on internal-facing activities which leaves less time for active selling in the field.

      Pros

      Best benefits of any company I've seen. Exposure to all the new technologies and opportunities to be involved in many different areas.

      Cons

      Review system forces employees to compete against each other. Employees are all stack ranked which means performance reviews are completed based on how you perform against your peer. This is distracting and prevents people from working as a team toward a common goal.
