Pros

The people are wonderful. Benefits are decent. The subsidized restaurant is a good perk. That’s it.

Cons

Their sick leave policy is insane. Counts against you and is considered an “unexcused absence” unless it’s for FMLA. Also hourly employees are treated completely different from salaried employees. Salaried employees get 480 hours of sick leave every year. Hourly? Too bad. Hope you get approved for short term disability. Be ready to be chained to your desk. Be ready to be micromanaged and babysat. There is no flexibility. There is no work from home if HR hears about it (otherwise just don’t go to them for approval). There is no consistency. It felt like I was reporting to an adult day care. I absolutely hated my time at MidFirst. Pay isn’t great unless you’re an AVP level or above. Technology is laughably outdated (I was working on Excel 2016 until recently). MidFirst has the potential to be fantastic, but leadership will never drag that dinosaur into the current century.
