Good money, lots of overtime, 5% matching Thrift Savings Plan, you can see many countries while spending sometimes weeks in each port. Lots of talented engineers and a lot team work.

Pros

many opportunities to get into what you want to do but the process of making that happen is slow and has too much red tape......theses guys need to get in line with civilian mariner standards. if your a mariner you know what his means!

Cons

the pay is not what it should be by no means.

Pros

The mission, the pay, the amazing travel opportunities. Great friendships built with some great fellow crewmembers.

Cons

Do not EVER expect to be relieved on time. When you work for MSC, you don't get to have a life outside of work. The people who thrive there are the ones who don't need or want a life away from the ship.
