CEO needs to go…

Pros

Working remote, great work/life balance, unlimited PTO, volunteer time off. Employees are passionate and adaptable to change.

Cons

Underpaid. Chance of getting a performance based raise is low. Cost of living raise doesn’t even meet societal cost of living percentage. CEO, Andi Owen, went off during a Town Hall call this week telling employees to stop worrying about whether they will get a bonus this year and to only worry about the $$ that needs to be brought in, to stop living in “pity city”. No sensitivity to those middle class employees by someone who makes $5mil/year.

Out of touch

Pros

The outlook used to be bright. Joining the MillerKnoll constellation brought us a lot of hope.

Cons

The executive team is delusional and the company is incredibly bloated and inefficient. Almost two years into the merger, so much confusion still exists within the company. I suppose you could call them "consummately corporate". A paragon of the old way doing business, grasping for their golden years in a changing economy.

Great heritage brand but no future

Pros

Products and its reputation as a heritage brand are second to none. The products are trying to be super sustainable and are legitimately made well. Also so many of the associate/manager/director-level people who work here are super talented, kind folks. And unlimited PTO is a big bonus.

Cons

No growth, no future, and morale could not be lower since the CEO's scandalous and unhinged town hall rant. People are leaving in droves. They do not support employee growth so most people who want to get ahead or get paid competitively have to leave. Surprisingly shady culture where leadership is mostly super elitist out of touch people, HR is busy covering up for leadership and not standing up for employee rights, culture of saying yes to high ups and internal fighting among leadership. Basically the top of the pyramid is a mess and the stress sadly trickles down from there. Would not recommend folks to work here except maybe to have a prestigious name on their resume for a bit.
