-Unpleasant working conditions and lawsuits waiting to happen. I personally witnessed a coworker being harassed because of their gender. I reported to my supervisor, but they took no further action. There were other things over the years that were red flags, and I'm sure this goes on a lot that I just don't witness--how this place hasn't gotten sued for a hostile workplace I have no idea. I saw another review mention this and I have to agree that it is a problem unfortunately.
-There is a lot of deferred maintenance in facilities that puts employees at risk of safety/health problems. Management is working on fixing it, but there is still a lot of focus on being penny-wise, pound-foolish.
-I'm not sure there is a fair or transparent pay structure. Most of the driven, high achievers leave after 3-5 years because promotions are given out at a very slow pace and pay is $10-20k below market rate. As someone else mentioned, you have to be the favorite/chosen one to get any kind of promotion--it is treated as an exceptional honor, not a normal part of business operations.
