Pros

EMD Millipore has good benefits and allows flexible scheduling. Depending on which division and position you are in the global organization allows for the possibility to work on a global and culturally diverse team.

Cons

Acquisition, reorganization, acquisition, reorganization...you get the idea. This pattern has unfortunately lead to layoffs, relocations, and overall disruption of company culture and morale. Benefits are good now, but each year they are scaled back. Depending on which group you are in the opportunity for personal growth is quite limited.
