      Pros

      I can't say enough good things about this company. I've been employed full-time at MilliporeSigma for two years and am constantly impressed by the leadership team and their drive to innovate and develop/retain staff. I feel appreciated at work and am constantly challenged. In addition, I'm surrounded by the best and brightest which is very humbling. The benefits package (health, 401k, PTO, etc.) is also one of the best I've ever been offered by a company.

      Cons

      It's a large matrixed organization, which means things can move inefficiently sometimes. But overall, leadership does a great job trying to tackle this issue.

      Pros

      Huge company with lots of room for personal growth, some fun projects, some volunteering encouraged. Salary was okay, job stability better than biotech. Work life balance is the best in industry I'd say. Very down to earth and friendly scientists here.

      Cons

      Huge company with lots of room for everyone's personal growth means layer after layer after layer of management. You'll wait your turn for advancement (5-10 years) for a 5% pay bump and a title change. Salary is lower than biotech, but less risky position.

      Pros

      strong brands, excellent benefits and long term incentives, global business

      Cons

      Too internally focused, lots of politics, weak management that over-relies on external consultants, constant reorganization makes accountability impossible; very bureaucratic and difficult environment for those who are results oriented
