Pros

Some good people are still here. New people are really motivated for the first 6 months.

Cons

Managers let lazy people stand around while other people are expected to pick up the slack every single day. No resolution, no recognition for the extra work of others. Every week, some departments come in and the is little or no work. Some managers let people take time unpaid, others do not, and somehow this is justified. We should never have to use our own time because our employer has nothing for us to do. When we bring up safety or quality issues, they are too often brushed off by people that we least expect. People in temporary positions making executive decisions that we have to adhere to regardless of what our procedures are; is just not something that should be happening regularly.

Many managers, little impact

Pros

An excellent group of people to work alongside with diverse cultures and backgrounds that makes for an interesting experience. The products and technology are unique and interesting.

Cons

Disorganized from the top down. Constant management shifting within the company (move this supervisor to this area, shift this one over there, etc. Why? No discernable reason, evidenced by the lack of value added when these changes occur). Projects start without a clearly defined leader or plan that results in the project losing momentum and falling apart, only to be kickstarted a year later and follow the same process as previously mentioned. The only company I have worked for that does not have a minimum pay for the tiers, e.g., you can be promoted from Operator 1 to Expert 1 and still be paid at the operator level. A total lack of recognition for major accomplishments that impact the site, unless you know the right people. Lastly, there is far too many managers and supervisors than needed to get the job done. In this regard, I feel there is a focus on checking DEI boxes rather than placing people in management positions based on the experience, skill and effectiveness they bring.
