Pros

- Culture! Culture! Culture! - Investment into employees via company funded activities. - Challenging high paced work environment with lots of opportunities for advancement.

Cons

- Growing pains associated with growing so quickly! - Might be too fast paced for those not used to it.

Pros

A lot of responsibility given to engineer and it is cool to have ownership over a consumer product. Still has a start-up mentality and feel. The best part of the company is its culture - especially its candidness.

Cons

NPD engineers are taken for granted. They are underpaid and overworked. NPD requires a certain skill set that isn’t captured by an engineer title alone since we wear many hats including taking on some of the responsibilities of project leaders. Also starting to see the quality of products go down as pressure on cost and schedule remains #1 priority. Our customers will start to see that too.

Thank you for this candid review! Our environment at Milwaukee isn’t exactly what you’d expect of a tool company. In fact, it feels a little more like Silicon Valley. To be able to achieve the success we’ve had, our entire team operates with the kind of speed and agility you’re likely to find in a tech startup versus a global, multi-billion-dollar company.

Pros

Benefits are very good. The company has done an excellent job absorbing the rising healthcare costs by not passing higher premiums onto the employees. They offer several perks and work hard to continuously present new options to senior leadership. There are a lot of intelligent, great people in the organization working hard every day and keep the company functioning successfully. Tons of energy.

Cons

HR leadership has been floundering for more than two years. The Sr. Leader doesn't have a strategic plan. KEY talent in critical roles are leaving on their own because of lack of faith in leadership. The Culture touts "People" as their biggest asset. Not necessarily the case. Across the company they promote those that give up their lives and play their game. Period. Even some that are promoted or moved into other positions after a poor showing in their current role makes it obvious to all. It's more of a game of giving up your life and playing politics than about the people.
