Pros

Great people and the people around you on the ground are mostly decent and want to get the job done. The product is loved by end users. Work life balance is pretty good and they offer good flexibility.

Cons

Yesterday during a company all hands the chief people officer suggested the solution to recent bad glassdoor reviews and poor engagement was for more people to leave reviews (presumably she meant positive ones), so...here we are. 2 stars because overall it's a comfortable place to work and the people are mostly great. It's a declining environment however. I mentioned the product being loved by users. It is definitely not loved by the people buying it (IT, CFOs) and that is being heavily scrutinized right now. Customers are contracting all over the place for what is now seen as a commodity. The PLG hypergrowth means we skipped any type of pain discovery and now can't back up the price tag. Leadership overall lack a clear strategy and are generally perceived as poor. Product vision is non existent. Marketing are like headless chickens. Sales leadership think more reporting up is the answer. The CPO is a car crash and only ever turns up with bad news or non answers to tough questions. The CFO and COO appear to be the only ones who know what they're doing. The CEO is more of a figure head, who occasionally pops up on all hands. Morale is rock bottom across the org, especially in sales. Very few reps are hitting quota (<20%), quotas which are still aligned to a healthy PLG business. Comp plans are the same, so few people are making money.

Pros

When I first joined Miro a year and a half ago, it was an amazing company. There was a palpable excitement and passion to working on the goals we were trying to achieve. I genuinely signed on each day excited to work. I remember being impressed at how the company conducted itself and lived its values. As time has gone on, this has started to change. During my time here, we experienced immense growth and went from about 700 employees (when I joined) to now 1900 and counting. I still think Miro could be a great place to work if it works on a few key areas of opportunity, some of which were done well at one point but have dropped to the wayside for one reason or another. If it continues down the wrong path, its reputation may take a hit as a good place to work... Pros: - great people, super smart & passionate -amazing product - our customers love us - global company - you can raise your hand to work on different projects and learn new things & meet new people

Cons

Cons: - no transparency/ meaningful communication from exec team: When I first joined this was not an issue but there has been a sharp drop-off unfortunately - disorganization : there are teams that are currently being restructured & cut back, they're being told they're too big. Why did we not plan ahead for this? - lack of commitment to diversity & inclusion: there are some loud passionate voices at Miro who are driving D&I efforts currently, but the exec participation is noticeably quiet - inflexible options for working: they are really pushing for everyone to go in office 2-3 times a week which is confusing because our product is a REMOTE collaboration tool

Pros

decent product overall and okay integrations

Cons

This company will likely become one of those that's overtaken and loses to one of the big players - MSFT, Google - or even one of the smaller players like Lucid or Mural. Despite my success, I left the company. Why? Because I have integrity and a moral compass - work at this place and you quickly realized the lack of diversity (especially in leadership), unfairness to sales reps, and many operational mishaps. Hilarious how stingy they are with equity. Do not work for this company, very selfish leades and horribly inexperienced in sales leadership specifically. Dirty sales tactics rules there and professional development is also a non-priority.
