Pros

The most humble people are found here. Colleagues are always willing to help. It always feel safe to ask questions and people genuinely show a great deal of empathy towards peers. The product itself is also pretty amazing. You can see the dogfooding where internally, tools are used much in the same way customers do. Work life balance is probably better than most places. People accept feedback on how to improve things and there's always iteration to try to make things better in the short term

Cons

Unfortunately, a lot of "top down" goals contradict each other. There are some decisions to prematurely optimise infrastructure and architecture decisions too early, which is causing internal friction among engineering teams. Everyone seems busy but it is unclear where this ship is going in the long term. You only hear from some leaders during All Hands and seemingly recycled slide decks. Culture seems a bit diluted compared to other companies. No real career progression. No mentorship program despite asking for it and anecdotally, it seems hard to move teams. You can often feel "stuck" if you happen to be a subject matter expert because whats more important is you keeping the lights on rather than what your interests may be.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We appreciate your positive remarks about our great people, work-life balance, and our product. We also acknowledge your concerns regarding certain aspects of our organization. We understand that certain ""top-down"" goals may appear contradictory at times. It's important to note that these goals are often aimed at ensuring alignment and consistency across different engineering teams. By making early optimizations in infrastructure and architecture decisions, we aim to prevent duplication of efforts and create a solid foundation for future development. These investments may not always be immediately apparent, but they contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our Engineering team. As we continue to mature as a company, we are increasing our focus on nurturing our internal talent. We are actively exploring ways to enhance professional development opportunities and facilitate team transitions. Your input helps us identify areas where we can provide better support and growth opportunities. Thank you for your valuable feedback. We genuinely appreciate your input, as it helps us shape a better future for Miro. If you have any further suggestions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. The Miro team

Pros

Cool office in the center with barista and yummy food Nice colleagues Being able to work for well-known product which is awesome

Cons

Toxic leadership with favouritism and lack of clear vision Messy processes High workload with overtimes No promotions with no career lader and no explanations (just because your manager doesn't like you personally) Mislevelling you from the start of hiring process You work on smth completely opposite what was promised you during hiring Miro looks so beautiful and fun from outside but inside there is darkness and lack of empathy, they don't care about you at all and the layoff showed it.
