Great experience, faculty willing to help you learn and grow.

Cons

The pay was minimum wage, and when I left it was below minimum wage as they didn't increase pay once the minimum wage increased. For as much work as student research assistants do, the work is not properly compensated.

Cons

Satellite sites away from main campus may not be allowed to employ individuals for more than 30 hours/week so individual does not receive benefits. No opportunities for these employees to receive educational benefits, professional training, or participate in professional association organizations and learn best practices. Short-sighted savings affects ability to utilize talents of employees in other areas such as marketing, recruitment, and social media communication.
