      Pros

      My department was very understanding of a student's schedules and the managers were always willing to keep schedules flexible enough to work around classes, projects, cramming for exams, etc.

      Cons

      Minimum wage with no chance of getting a raise no matter your performance, experience, length of employment - it burned to see fast food jobs that offered $1.50+ more an hour.

      Pros

      The university did their best to support staff as much as possible. Compensation was increased as much as possible. Staff from diverse backgrounds were treated well. Did not have to pay much for benefits.

      Cons

      They have difficulty getting rid of poor employees and choose to ignore bad performance. While they worked hard to increase compensation and support staff from diverse backgrounds, they are still resource limited and in a city that lacks diversity. Vesting for retirement took 10 years.
