Pros

You can set your own hours, very flexible. You are able to work on school work if you are not busy.

Cons

They give you a stipend every month, which is great, but it can be pretty tough to make the amount last over the entire month.

Pros

MSU had provided such a great opportunity to graduates with an interest in working in the university setting. Being a GA brings opportunities for a diverse work experience and additional study. Management, at least within my departments, has been exemplary and helpful throughout this process.

Cons

As great as the university is, the city (Springfield, MO) might lack a good deal of essential amenities for those accustomed to living in larger cities.
