Pros
Really interesting exhibitions and ability to work closely with artists. Lots of fun events that the museum was extremely generous in inviting all staff to, lots of flexibility and a relaxed atmosphere for the most part.
Cons
Basically, you are taught that the only relevant employees work in curatorial--the rest of the staff is treated like absolute garbage. This can be looked at as a pro or a con, but individuals can really behave in as impolite and inconsiderate as they would like, as like as they accomplish the tasks placed before them. The emphasis at PS1 is fully on "hard skills" and no one cares a bit for "soft skills." Many of the top people here are often straight up described as monstrous.
