Not worth the risk...

Pros

Pay if you're a new grad. If you are a seasoned nurse, it is only $1-2/hr more than a new grad. Co-workers Residents Tuition reimbursement, PTO, holiday pay is 2x hourly rate if you work it.

Cons

Management sticks to themselves, are slow to follow up on issues, if they follow up. High patient to nurse ratio. Plan on never being able to take a break, if you take one you will be stuck there that much more after your shift ends. Unable to leave at end of shift unless your work is completed, if you get an admit towards the end of your shift plan on being there for an additional 2-3hrs to complete your assigned tasks. If you leave without completing your work they will call you back into complete it. Unable to use sick time until after the 10th day in a row of being sick; basically is wasted unless you give birth, have covid, or break something to where you need more than 10 days off of work. High employee turn over Discipline is slim, so many staff clip corners, you are always cleaning up the sloppy work of others. Nursing license has never been more at risk at any other job than it is at this one. Horrible feeling. Being mandated to stay if someone calls in or doesn't show up for their shift... nurses get mandated if nurses or CNAa's call in (and work as an aide). Management will work the easiest cart at times if someone calls in, so plan on having to switch assignments if you are on the easy cart

Pros

I worked here for about two years. Almost all the RNs and CNAs I worked with loved and truly cared for their residents, which created a really nurturing environment that was great to work in.

Cons

Management was terrible. It seemed like they never cared about us being fully staffed and did not care about the residents, which is ultimately why I decided to leave.

Pros

Good people and staff to work with. TR is very organized and there are many activities for the residents.

Cons

Management could be more organized but are generally very helpful. The nurse Managers are great and always willing to help.
