Pros

Monarch has great resources to perform the job duties just don't have time to utilize them.

Cons

Regional manager is a back stabbing, talk behind your back to my peers (I have proof), belittling, disrespectful Manager. There have been 3 people leave from a 5 employee complex in the last month. And she will brow beat you & make you feel like you are the dumbest person in the world. She needs to go......

Pros

Complete exposure to entirety of operations of a corporate multifamily housing giant.

Cons

Blatant nepotism and favoritism. Prior industry experience and seniority at MIMG do not matter whatsoever. Numerous times peers were promoted within weeks of being hired, avoiding months of “crucial” rotation experience. They will constantly tell you that everyone goes through the rotations but that is not true. Asset managers are extremely reserved and don't care about you unless you are on their team. It’s hard to know who is looking for an analyst because they all already have one, or several.. Expectations are very vague on both the asset manager impression side, and the given rotation department you are in. Entirety of rotation program is long, 1.5-2 years. Hard work in each rotation is overlooked and ultimately pulls you away from the goal of the program. There are too many rotational analysts competing for the same position. There is a large roster waiting to get promoted all while they actively hire more. Direct reports will try and offload you to different departments unrelated to actually managing a Multifamily Portfolio, in hopes you may be selected one day. Department managers aren’t interested in training you during rotations since you are only there for a brief period. Remote location - zero lunch spots, zero WFH opportunities

Hi there, Thank you for sharing your perspective and experience in Monarch Investment and Management Group’s rotational program. We value thoughtful feedback from those who’ve been a part of the program, as it helps us continue refining the structure and support provided throughout the program. The rotational program is intentionally designed to offer a well-rounded view of multifamily operations, with the goal of developing adaptable leaders who are comfortable stepping into a variety of roles across the organization. We understand that this dynamic environment isn’t the right fit for everyone, and that expectations around responsibilities and culture can vary from person to person. Your feedback regarding communication, clarity of expectations, and engagement levels from managers is noted and will be considered as we continue to assess and evolve the program. If you’re open to continuing the conversation, we welcome you to contact us at residentservices@monarchinvestment.com. Thank you again for taking the time to share your insights, and we wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

If you work anywhere but Michigan for this company you will like the company but Michigan is run by a very young, unprofessional asset manager. He doesn't value women or anyone over 30 yrs old.

Cons

Very young unexperienced regional and asset managers, that do not value top-ranked managers that are over 30 yrs old, If you want to work for a frat house-type environment, then this is the company for you. if you are over 30 yrs. old, well educated with a strong background in management you will not be valued. In fact, you will be a threat to their very young unseasoned Regional Manager and be let go for ridiculous reasons that you very saw coming. I was rated in the top 10 properties that had and in the top 5 in every area but because my regional felt threatened by my experience, so I was let go for the most obscured reason with no proof or investigation. Never been written up, only praised by owners and given stock for doing an excellent job. It was very unprofessional and unbelievable that they would keep a regional or assets manager that is hurting the company. You are supposed to be rewarded for an excellent job, but instead, they will find a way to let you go with no basis for truth, and anyone looking at the evidence would say this is wrong. I brought it to the HR director's attention but she wouldn't even investigate it. If your not one of the assets manager's friends you will get nowhere in Michigan.
