Pros

Monarch is an excellent company to work for, and are focused on growth and taking care of the their employees. If you are willing to put in the work you will be rewarded with growth opportunities and new challenges to enhance your career. They have guidelines more so than strict policies which allows site teams to affect real change on the properties and the company gives actual ownership in the form of profit sharing.

Cons

The education and training needs to be more clearly defined so that new associates can be quickly assimilated into the processes and procedures, without stretching current staff through aggressive growth. The corporate is launching new training so this catching up with the growth.

Pros

This is a company where if something works you will not encounter a lot of red tape to implement it. Creative solutions are encouraged. Every property is different and management is flexible in how different properties can accomplish their goals without a lot of top-down mandates. The pay is good and employees (all types, from groundskeepers through the CEO) are eligible for profit interests in new acquisitions after one year of employment with good results. You can also rise fast as Monarch is constantly expanding and new opportunities and promotions are available quickly for those who prove themselves. The newly established employee relations department is also always finding ways to make Monarch a better place for its employees. The ping pong table and yoga room at headquarters were great additions.

Cons

Headquarters is in the middle of nowhere so commuting from metro Denver can take a while. It's worth it though.
