Stay away. Unorganized mess

Pros

It's hard finding 20 words that would describe something good. You get holidays off and they pay is adequate. They have an open door policy but the door is always closed.

Cons

Unorganized mess. Take over properties in "disarray." They'll tell you they are going to put all kinds of $ in the property. Unfortunately this is a lie. Tenants get upset bc nothing changes when management changes. Management will not answer questions or concerns you have over the property. Then when the concerns get taken to the corporate level, management will act as if this is the 1st time ever hearing of it and it will become 100% your problem. They will play a game and tell asset managers that it's property managers fault when in fact it is incompetent upper management. They have no shame and will throw you under the bus without a 2nd thought. Be sure to save all emails so you have a trail when you get lashed out at for concerns that were expressed months ago. That will be the only thing that will save you.

Pros

It maybe a good entry level company for people trying to start a career in maintenance or property management.

Cons

Everything is kinda fly by night.Very disorganized and controlling. If your used to being in charge of a property you definitely will not enjoy your time with this company. Not only do you have little control over day to day operations but if something goes wrong it is somehow your fault.Everything is dictated from a level of bureaucracy set a level above the people who are actually running the property.Everything is done in-house in order to save every penny (which ofcourse means besides your normal labor you will be doing special projects dictated from the level above).Salaries are mediocre. So if your a property manager in title your position is more like am assistant manager. If your a assistant manager your more like a leasing agent. If you a maintenance manager your more like a tech ect ect.Unless ofcourse you get hired on to be one of said bureaucracy. Then its pretty much driving a company truck, drinking coffee, and making others do all the heavy lifting.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this feedback as we value all opinions. We are very sorry that your experience with Monarch did not match our intention of being a truly great place to work. We wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors. Unfortunately, Monarch had only acquired the Omaha portfolio less than 6 months prior to this rating. It takes time to fully engage and transition a new acquisition to the way we manage a property. To anyone else reading this review and considering Monarch as a place of employment, please check out some of our other reviews from current team members. Monarch Investment Employee Relations
