Misleading, con artists

Pros

Competitive pay and benefits, location. They know how to cover up a bad situation so you don't see it, make a mirage look real, a surface fix.

Cons

The company is highly misleading. I am not surprised to see the multiple new positive reviews all during the same month from current employees. The company has had multiple bad reviews posted in various review places and then they have staff that counter those reviews by posting other positive reviews to boost their ratings, such as here, but all these employees were told to review, they did not put a review by their own choice. This company is also not accredited by the Better Business Bureau, and the BBB gave the company an F rating due to 10 complaints filed against the business, the business failed to respond to 3 complaints filed against them, and 2 complaints filed against them were not resolved.

Lack of training and guidance.

Pros

Good hours and pays well. I enjoyed the report statuses but wasn't efficiently trained to provide all information. I enjoyed my regional manager as well.

Cons

I wasn't efficiently trained on the company way of things. They provided a support guidance from another local manager which she was always rude. Several employees always complained on her and I finally seen her true colors when she calls at night around 8pm drunk. She always tried to throw me under the bus while she is driving it. She likes to start drama with others and at the point my office was starting to screen calls to avoid her and provide reason why we are unable to take her call at the time. The Regional had to tell other employees that she was no longer in charge but that did not stop this manager to try oversee things. I provided a very short resignation notice because I felt bullied working with this lady. I tried to stand up for myself and she would complained to upper management and they had her back because she was one of the favorites. She tried to get me fired once saying I was spreading rumors about her and which is a company violation. The only thing I said was an employee walked out because she was getting onto the individual. Apparently, I did the same with my short one day notice of resignation.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience here at Monarch. We strive to hire great people and its disappointing to hear that you didn't get along with your mentor. I hear what you are saying about training, and although it has taken us some time we are really making strides in that area! Our training department is now one year old, and we are working to offer the classes needed to succeed. We wish you the best of luck in your new job.

Pros

Monarch could be a great company to work for if they could get all of their management to refocus and adhere to the principles they espouse in their company policies and motto. Conversations I have had with people from the corporate office do show a genuine concern for their reputation and their employees.

Cons

Monarch has grown to the point where the corporate office has lost touch with it's regional employees and has unfortunately put their faith in under qualified, but overly arrogant middle management who has not interest in the employees well being, but only cares about making themselves look good at a corporate level. To achieve this goal, they will sacrifice resident satisfaction, employee satisfaction and the integrity of both themselves and the company.
