Pros

Literally the only pros are working remotely and commission (which is still significantly below industry standards)

Cons

Where to even begin 1. The micro management is absolutely insane, employees are treated like children and not given any freedom to actually do your job. I would have a day where I had 2 submittals and was still being asked about unimportant metrics like how many profiles I had clicked on. 2. Absolutely zero work life balance, expect texts at 9 pm , 6 am, on the weekends, while on PTO. Expect to be available at all hours of the day for absolutely unimportant things that could be handled by someone else. On the topic of PTO, you only get 10 days and then get shamed for wanting to use it, being told they really don’t like people using PTO in q1. 3. Commission structure is awful compared to 95% of companies out there, if you’re a top performer (as I am) you can make way more money somewhere else. 4. Management claims to care about work/life balance and burn out awareness but in reality they only care about numbers. I know multiple people who were asked to work from the hospital while a family member was sick. 5. Any legitimate questions about changes in policy is seen as “pushback” or “arguing” when in reality it’s simply questioning decisions that only make it harder for recruiters to do their jobs.

Avoid at all costs

Pros

Remote, and other employees will feel the same pain.

Cons

Worked for the Boston location for under a year. Working for Mondo is a big mistake anyone can make in their life. They scam their customers, and recruits they bring on for their clients. For example: mondo will charge client $150hr for a data engineer, but actually pay the recruit $60 an hour. Extremely toxic work culture…it can be a soul-sucking experience. The constant negativity, gossip, and backstabbing can make it difficult to feel motivated and engaged in your work. In addition, having a CEO with an ego bigger than the Empire State Building can make it feel like you're working for a company that is more interested in promoting the image of the top brass than in actually delivering results. This can lead to a lack of focus on important goals, which can ultimately harm the company and its employees. Overall, working for a company with these issues can be a demoralizing and frustrating experience that may not be worth the effort. Avoid at all costs!!

Sales to Training

Pros

My favorite thing about working at Mondo is that if you prove to them that you can be more successful in a different area of the business, they will help you get into the role you are meant to be in. I was very successful in my sales role when I first started and over time I found the personal goals of what I wanted in a career changing. I was approached about moving into the training side of the house and since transitioning, I have grown as a professional and an individual in ways I didn't even think I could. Mondo's goal is to find good people but also to make sure those people are continuing to grow and happy in the RIGHT role.

Cons

The nature of staffing is very reliant on a lot of outside factors that are not in our control. For example, the economy or a pandemic ect. The business fluctuates naturally but Mondo is always finding ways to evolve and change in these times.
