Pros

Only the fact that you can work from home

Cons

I worked at Monks for almost three years, during which I consistently gave my best as a professional. However, over time it became clear that there were no real opportunities for growth within the company. Despite my ongoing commitment, I never received a promotion or a salary adjustment, and there was a significant pay gap between employees with similar responsibilities. I also raised concerns about how the workload and work environment were affecting my mental health, but I was told to prioritize the client above my own well-being. That lack of empathy and support toward employees eventually drained my motivation and trust in the organization. Monks has strong potential as a company, but it needs to improve internal management, ensure fair growth opportunities, and truly listen to its teams if it wants to retain talent and foster a healthy work culture.

Pros

Interesting work being done for top tier clients and brands. Many smart and talented people that really care about and enjoy their work.

Cons

Horrible leadership across the board. Executives are misaligned and incapable of making decisions. Layoffs have focused on creative talent, not the bloated senior leadership and numerous redundant executives. They killed all the culture and the US offices are especially bad. There is generally a toxic workplace environment the promotes undercutting, political alliances, and cronyism, not actual talent.

Pros

We had a lot of fun briefs coming through. Lots of opportunities at least on the account I was on

Cons

Constant restructuring and growth of the company makes it very disorganized. This lead to an extremely poor culture. Very heavy workload for some, lighter workload for others.
