      Experience as engineering assistant

      Pros

      Valuable experience working with many engineering disciplines. They gave me a performance review every three months, which always resulted in a small raise.

      Cons

      There are not too many things I can complain about. I ended up leaving because I had a hard time balancing work and school. They were flexible but they require at least 20 hours a week.

      Pros

      Great culture, minimal micro management, solid pay, good benefits, lots of onsite amenities like bike sharing, trails, volleyball, races, health stations, etc.

      Cons

      Old-fashioned in the sense that technology is seen as the means to an end and not part of the overall product we produce. Located just on the border between rural country and suburbia, so long commutes.

      Isolated, old school culture, unfriendly to continuous improvement, now paying the price. Fractured engineering organization. No cohesive technology roadmap.
