Pros

The people! Moog has stayed true to it's intention of placing the power in the hands of the people who do the work. The level of autonomy that people receive is higher than at any other 2.5 Billion dollar company that I know of. As a recruiter, I've never been able to stay with a company once I am able to see behind the curtain and know the good, bad, and ugly about a corporation. I've been at Moog for almost 7 years now, and I've seen the good, the bad, and so far there is not any ugly. And while we are not perfect, it is as close as I've seen to that in my 30+ year career.

Cons

Some of the benefits are a bit out-dated. I do know that there are efforts to improve in the areas where it is needed, however.

Pros

Small work environment, everyone is an expert in their field. The people are happy and friendly.

Cons

This is an older company. They have their processes; they are methodical but not always the most efficient. This is not the place for someone who wants a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment

Pretty relaxed environment...most of the times!

Cons

Hard (impossible almost) to get promoted, even as a top performer. Since it is hard to find qualified people, thinking that the current employees are 'stuck', the mgmt prefers to bring people from outside. So after 6+years.... I was able to get a promotion and more money....with ANOTHER company:) Also, very important, unfortunately, advanced degrees aren't valued @ Moog.
