Decent company but one bad apple....

Pros

Good environment. Good attitude for working from home remotely. They are changing their focus to be better positioned in the Linux/Unix world and leveraging virtualization.

Cons

Some clown in configuration management thinks he understands *nix systems. His knowledge was outdated and would hurt the company. This person would break things and then try to justify why is wasn't his fault and would ask others to fix things. He asked for things like NIS to be implemented versus AD/LDAP. He told people that glusterfs errors were not his fault and that the errors generated were of NFS types. Problem is that glusterfs is based on NFS and he didn't understand the tech.

Pros

Small percentage of engineers do all the work. So if you're lazy and want a free ride, this is the place to be.

Cons

Horrible processes, sub par management, misuse of government funds, Lazy employees, no accountability.
