Pros
Insurance. Mostly pleasant people to work with.
Cons
Hospital and Morrison have very little communication or co-operation. Lights in my dishroom have been burned out for four plus months. No one's apparently responsible. An inspector recently told us we had to stop using our old-fashioned pulper, so management ordered us not to use it. Problem is, it's now breeding gnats. And we can't clean it out because that would mean turning it on. Since we can't turn it on and run Multi-Quat through it, we have gnats, gnats and more gnats. I've recently discovered I'm bringing gnats home with me. And since dishwashers here deliver food to other parts of the hospital... And then there's the sanitizer in the pot sink. It's hooked up to cold water, which(the inspector told us) means it's not sanitizing. Normally this is no problem, because we wash gross soils off the post in the sink and then finish (with heat sensitization) in the dish machine. But what happens the next time the dish machine breaks down? Is management working on getting the sanitizer hooked up to hot water? Dunno. Is maintenance (and hospital management) just slow getting this done? Again, dunno. Nobody tells me anything. But on the bright side, management just spent money to get a video ad display for the dining room!
