Pros

- Iconic brands in the US and Canada - Corporate office is beautiful and in an ideal downtown location - Good benefits

Cons

- Cultural struggles and language barriers with parent company (K+S) in Germany make it difficult to get work done in an efficient manner - Company is going through a lot of self-inflicted change with very poor change management practices and communications - Branded products/business are treated as second tier within the parent company's business portfolio which is more focused on commodities - Turnover beginning to increase across key functions - K+S senior leadership is weak and lacks the experience to run a global company

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We value your point of view and agree that there is more work to do to position the company for future growth. Transformation is never easy – especially on a global scale – but change is necessary to help ensure the success of the company and our team members for years to come. In the company’s 170-year history, Morton had to overcome many challenges to adapt to the changing needs of customers, consumers, employees and other key stakeholders. This time is no different. And we want to evolve together with the help of our team members. That’s why we’ve formed cross-functional teams around the world to help shape our company and our culture in the best way possible. This takes significant effort and an openness to change at all levels of the organization. We believe we have the right ingredients. We’re excited about the potential and appreciate all the team members across all parts of the organization working together to create a brighter future.

Pros

Not much in the lines of "pros" at this company! It used to be a great company to work for. Now that it is no longer a US owned company, things have gone downhill and fast!!!

Cons

Management needs to stop the favoritism! Take a look at the talent you have and help develop it. Sorry to say but this company needs to revamp its upper and middle management.

Pros

Unfortunately not a lot. It could be a good place to work but need change in their upper management .

Cons

As a salary job , I worked 550 to 650 hours OT yearly and the one time I had to take leave I was not paid for any of the time off but all other management on salary was paid when they were out. I have talked to a newer supervisor (about a year) and she has been out and she is being paid. I decided not to return to my job after the leave and they retro'd my termination date back to when I took leave so that also put me as not having any insurance dating back to my leave time. I know of four of my management co-workers that were out on leave and they all were paid. So there is a lot of favoritism among upper management and middle management. We had one supervisor sleeping in his car at night and upper management knew this but did nothing about it. If you are on salary and a holiday falls on your off day , you just missed out on a day off or any pay for that holiday even though they tell you when hired you have this many holidays. A supervisor really has no one to talk to due to the upper management being "friends" and "hanging out with each other off site" so no conversation could be confidential with anyone. We lost a lot of supervisors due to these issues but upper management seem to be glad they left. Sadly enough upper management had prior work history together and were "friends" off site too. Very demanding with nothing in return .
