      For a company that says they believe so much in safety, they have done nothing but collapsed that department. The culture is broken and will never change with the leadership team that is currently in place. Corporate is a revolving door and now all the people being promoted or brought in are all from Cargill. It’s a HUGGGGGE slap in the face to all legacy Morton employees. The new leadership team thinks Morton Salt was some kind of failure before they came in… turns out they’re just running this company into the group and making everyone’s life miserable.

      Avoid This Company-It’s Going Down the Drain!

      Pros prior to sale of company included growth opportunities and team culture.

      Cons

      Cons are driven by the new company management decisions to significantly improve margins from ~14% to 35%, and taking the drastic measure of cutting corporate headcount by 40% to help achieve the goal. The Finance team was already ‘streamlined’. So, my advice is do not join the Finance team unless you want to lose any semblance of work life balance.

      Worst Communicator Ever!!!!

      Worst communicator between upper and middle management. I was told " No communication is good communication." No training at middle management level. High stress and they try compensate by throwing money at supervisors. Extremely high salary position turn over. Stay away!!!
