Pros

Most people are very nice and helpful Moving to a new office in a new high rise by the train station. Great place to network because people are constantly leaving. HR is currently working on developing a uniform review process, and other programs and perks that normal companies have in 2015

Cons

No bonus/raises and and layoffs in years without snow Very few internal promotions, open roles are mostly given to outside talent. Parent Company (K+S) is publicly traded in Germany, and is a likely acquisition target for bigger companies once the new mine opens in 2016 (search articles online)

Pros

Recognized brand and stable. Some good employees still remaining with loyalty to the company.

Cons

New Executive management is horrible. Head of Sales and Marketing does not know what he is doing and only likes to have "yes" people report to him. Head of HR has never held a position with this kind of responsibility and therefore lets others dictate how to make decisions for his group. Sadly this was a great place to work now its just a place to work. Many people are leaving because the moral is so poor and K + S and the CEO do not care.

Pros

The only pro is the genius who invented the umbrella girl symbol. They should be paying the estate of this man forever, it is the only reason they have a National Following with "When it Rains is Pours" is brilliant, but does not transcend into being a profitable business these days.

Cons

Lack of understanding by upper management on how the work is conducted in the field. Nobody takes the time to know the entire business from the ground up. No one in management takes responsibility for anything, with finger pointing the standard norm. People who try and think outside the box, are reprimanded in a hostile work environment. No sense of teamwork, and people starting looking for new jobs within six months of hiring. Cost cutting starts and ends with salaries, while hundreds of thousands of dollars wasted by lack of interest, and experience in supply chain operations. No tools given to managers in the field to make job easier, and attitude of being Teflon, nothing sticks to upper management, while mid level manager left being held accountable for all events with lack of guidance provided. Limited training program, and health benefits with large deductibles, not employee friendly company at all.
