      Good brand recognition with strong history in the area Job security

      Cons

      Expensive benefits package. Highly varying standards for coworkers based on connections and workplace politics. No accountability for supervision. Company policies exist, though they are interpreted selectively and applied only when convenient. Safety policies are selectively enforced and punitive. OSHA violations often ignored and those who choose to report them will find themselves under investigation shortly afterward.

      You get good at fixing problems and covering up management incompetence.

      Cons

      New Equity owners destroyed an already shaky company. Politics and blame games matter more than results. Ask how many 15+ year salaried employees are left; hundreds were let go for made-up reasons, I was amazed they have not been sued more for horrible HR practices.

      Pros

      The only lesson of value I took from this experience was to never become like the arrogant bullies who tried to dominate and intimidate everyone around them.

      Cons

      This job felt like walking through a minefield every day. The reckless and self-absorbed leaders were quick to shift blame for their own failures and could push you out without a second thought. Taking this role too seriously will only destroy your peace of mind and wear you down to nothing. Avoid this place if you value your sanity.
