Pros

One of my favorite things is that growth Motion is not tenure based, the starting salary is a bit low but how much you make and your title all depends on how much work you put in! I've been here for a year and a half and I have doubled my salary in this time. This job is super rewarding if you are a hard worker and you are able to motivate yourself when things aren't easy. Money isn't everything, the company also has great culture (lots of collboration, office events, competitions with prizes and team nights), we win and lose as a team. We work hard during the week but we know how to have fun together on the weekend. All the managers in the Toronto office are great, you are surrounded by a team of go-getters who you can learn a lot from in terms of sales and general business acumen. Everyone is always super helpful and they value clear communication between employees and management. They are fair when it comes to taking time off, and you will be rewarded if you are a hard worker. There's also lots of opportunity for growth and relocation because we are based in Boston and have 25+ offices across the US and Canada. You get to know people from all across North America and connect with like-minded individuals who share a passion for Recruitment and Sales. They've also adjusted really well in the pandemic which tells you a lot about a company. Throughout the whole process I felt safe, secured, and everyone has tried to maintain the culture through work from home even though it's been difficult. Lots of Zoom game nights and chats!

Cons

This job is not for you if you are lazy or like to see success by putting in minimum effort, if you expect to get a raise based on the fact that you've been with the company for over a year that will not happen, you need to earn it. Can't really think of much, it's honestly a great company to work for.

Pros

gives you a foundation to start your career

Cons

- you develop mental health issues from the crazy hours - they shame you for not working long hours - The recruiters are pitted against each other so the team leads can get their commissions - You cant take a day off without getting dirty looks from your boss. Little to no worklife balance - If you dont conform to the frat boy mentality of the office, youre automatically made to feel different - Toxic work culture - very cult-like. Youre made to feel like this job is the only way.
