Pros

Unlimited pto, free lunch, flex.

Cons

KT employees have zero idea what they are doing. They banked on the OPL experience and knowledge of those employed to make the decisions, do all the work and then take credit for it. They are never available and work the hours of 10am (if you are lucky) to about 2pm. Wanted all OPL's feedback and then claims he "made a mistake". I fully believe they will not succeed with the smart load board. It is much worse than all other load boards out there and they now do not have those doing all the work to back them up. They have zero idea what a carrier wants, how the market works, or what type of equipment is even out there. This load board will absolutely fail in the end-- their big "mission" will no longer be one in ~6 months.

Pros

None, should have been called no point logistics

Cons

I’ve never worked for a more shady company. Hiring over 150 people for their brokerage side, while investing no money on resources, marketing or technology. We were set up to fail from the beginning. The amount of talent that they let go to waste is sickening. Please stay far away from this company as they are not forthcoming or trustworthy. Wouldn’t have left my last job knowing that I wouldn’t have a job 6 months later. What a joke.

Pros

I started during the KeepTruckin days and went through a lot of changes with this company. Many layoff periods, hiring freezes, goal switching, etc. One thing that is clear is that Motive runs as a meritocracy -- if you're good at your job, you'll be promoted, get a significant raise, get more shares, etc. If you're bad, you get the axe. Good benefits, and some A1 people who work here.

Cons

Motive has been saying they're going to IPO for over four years. Leadership always puts the delay on macroeconomic conditions, but when you look closer, it’s clear there’s a lot more going on internally. I’ve seen plenty of people get fired the day before their equity was set to vest. People here live in constant fear of being let go every quarter. There’s no real transparency, and honestly, it feels like no one at the top knows what the hell they’re doing. The remote work situation is even more frustrating. I’d estimate 80% of employees don’t actually do anything—they stay “green,” keep their cameras off in meetings, and ride it out. It’s blatant. Meanwhile, the remaining 20% are keeping the company afloat, burning out trying to pick up the slack. Not sure if this is common across tech right now, but Motive leadership either needs to bring people back to the office or finally start holding people accountable. The current model isn’t sustainable.
