      Pros

      Reasonable size so exposure to reasonably sized projects. International company so opportunities to work overseas (if you are lucky). Good in some sectors.

      Cons

      Speak the speak but don't always walk the walk. Quite traditional in approach to working environment. Risk averse and not so keen to be in the public eye as other consultancies. Not good at dealing with projects that cross internal business unit boundaries. Lots of initiatives but a bit scattergun with no clear strategy or willingness to invest.

      Provided you're willing to push door and create your own luck, Mott MacDonald truly gives plenty of opportunities to work in different roles or locations. Always amazed by the shared values of staff around the world: honest, willing to help and genuinely passionate about what they do The diversity of projects never ceased to amaze me. Long term view on business due to its ownership structure. Rarely short term driven decisions.

      The company is driven by an engineering culture (great values) but not focused enough on business and winning work at times Systems are a bit dated

      We are currently performing major upgrades to our enterprise and global communication systems, bringing them state of the art. We are also focusing on good growth in the business in the US.
