Pros
Great exposure to some amazing projects around the world In general, excellent people In general, supportive environment for developing graduates Long term, remuneration is (allegedly) very good for the industry
Cons
In the early phases of career, performance tends to be rewarded by access to interesting work rather than pay. If you want to see the world, great. If you want to buy a house, try somewhere else. Mid career (5-15 years) can be very flat in terms of remuneration. It takes some serious effort/ agitation to become a shareholder and even then the returns from this take some time to accrue.
