Pros

Fantastic EMEA team, real great bunch of talented and funny people. UK leadership are best of breed and will ensure that Movable Ink stay industry leading, US leadership are visiting our region quarterly now as a support to the EMEA leadership team to ensure our success. The technology itself is fantastic with an impressive list of recent releases and new features being released over coming months. The sales team are adding new Enterprise clients to our roster regularly to bolster an already impressive client roster. The company portrays a public image of a great fun and exciting start up, which it truly is!

Cons

Ensure we don't party too much and stay focussed!

Pros

There is a real community atmosphere in the UK office and as a new starter there has been lots of support in learning the ropes. The team have been very welcoming and there is a real spirit in the team. The team is also growing and combined with a start up atmosphere makes it an exciting time to be joining.

Cons

There sometimes feels like there is not enough time in the day to learn all the new technology and decide where to focus on next

Great product, poor leadership and culture

Pros

Market leader in contextual email/real time content Good bunch in the UK office, friendly, knowledgeable and promote a flexible 'start-up' culture

Cons

Teams micro-managed from the US, mainly due to a distinct lack of trust. Struggling UK sales team - not enough time or help given to new starters, barely any product training yet expected to be technical experts, long sales cycles and a lack of investment lead to a low morale. The US made constant changes to sales messaging and tried to implement a scripted-feature-sell approach which doesn't work. Product is expensive in comparison to competitors and based on a US pricing model, sales targets were simply unrealistic (no one hit target in the UK). Marketing activity again controlled from the US, with a tiny portion of the budget allocated to the UK for events and other activities. No support from HR - the only person who looked after this joined and quickly left. All of the above resulted in talented people leaving the business, mostly through frustration. It wasn’t a good experience, the staff are treated poorly and I would not recommend working for Movable Ink.
