Pros

-Great family setting at store level -Flexible schedules -Seeing animals everyday

Cons

-Claim to be employee owned but only get an input if you work at home office. - Expect employees to take disrespect from customers - favoritism from DMs - Rigged promotions due to the favoritism of the DMs - Company expects store members to work and even extend store hours during the worst part of the pandemic - Offers no benefits/compassion if you contract COVID -Facade of a great place to work but after a while you start to realize the system is rigged and you are just a pawn in their unrealistic plan with the company’s future

Pros

Working with pets, great store discount.

Cons

Constant drug abuse around location. Hours are not guaranteed which means benefits are not. I met a lot of people with a negative mindset who didn't want to be there. Constant call outs which puts pressure on team. Lack of information from executives. No job security. Laid off an entire team of delivery hours with little notice. As i was leaving, teams were to sign a form about hour reduction or full time but transfer to other stores without reimbursement and if you signed and got laid off, you wouldn't be able to get unemployment benefits. Also, tried to transfer to other stores. Was told I would have to resign and reapply. Not guaranteed.

Pros

employee discount is very good, retail staff is amazing

Cons

home office is completely out of touch with stores, cutting employee hours, unreliable schedule, no upward movement available past stores, home office makes a ton of money but makes all the cuts at the store level, full time requires split shifts - no work life balance
