Direct coworkers are great at my location, free canvas and (cheap) paint.

Cons

You are beholden to the class sign ups. You're not compensated for being "on call" - will be cut from the class if not enough people sign up, but expected to wait at home unpaid in case more do. End up planning your life around shifts that end up cancelled anyway. This works for college art students with financial help from their parents and almost no one else. There are better models out there with more respect for employees' time! Muse will also gladly sacrifice customer experience for more money and you end up having to explain this on their behalf. Rooms over capacity, kitchens violating OSHA for overpriced food, list goes on..

Upper managerment and Human Resources are evil

great co-workers in the studio. Usually really kind creative folks ready to support one another. free supplies on a month basis and studio access.

Cons

Human resources will feign incompetence but it is intentional. They will bully you out of a job if they find you inconvenient. Regional managers are so lazy and don't care about a single studio employee. Studio Managers are a toss up. We were lucky other studios not so much. If you can work full time hours they expect it but no you will not be considered a full time employee and will not receive any benefits as those are for upper management. Unless upper managemet likes you, no promotions. You wont even hear of the opportunity. Studios have maintenance issues. Ours reeks like a sewer, the next closes has had a bug infestation for over 6 months. Do not allow you to say thank you on tip boards. Why? because they are EVILLLL Claims to be an EOE but hates disabled employees. If you need an accommodation it will inevitably force you to quit.
