Pros

For most of the year, you are paid to do essentially nothing but make sure the building doesn't burn down.

Cons

The pay is low, busy times are extremely stressful, and the management is occasionally completely clueless about anything going on in the store

Pros

As a manager you are able to make your own schedule which can be nice. If you like kids and helping people it can be a great place to work.

Cons

Had to work 50-60 hours per week, and was not compensated fairly. Huge corporation with only profit in mind. It is a laughing stock among musicians.

Pros

Every professional in M&A is well educated both in music and otherwise. There is never a want for help when you have a problem, and the staff is well trained from the beginning. There is room to move up in the company if you're willing to wait. The pay is hourly and decent, depending on your skill set.

Cons

Stores are typically understaffed as a result of the high expectations. The pay is ok for retail, but still barely a living wage. Retail is an exhausting field to be in in general, even more so when band parents are yelling at you.
