Pros

nice coworkers, made some good friends, my supervisor was a real nice guy.

Cons

warehouse workers are treated like crap, your just another "dumb warehouse worker" in their mind, people are fired left and right over completely menial things and they will fire people for "too many points" when the employees reason for being absent is not taken into consideration(such as medical conditions, or an employees child has medical issues) if you miss work it's nothing more than you being a lazy warehouse worker that doesn't want to work and mercy will be given to none not even someone who has a perfectly legitimate excuse for leaving(such as a child being admitted to the emergency room)

Pros

Musician's Friend has since moved it's operations to Westlake Village, CA as a part of Guitar Center. I worked for the company for three years when it was based in Southern Oregon. It had fantastic leadership, a friendly and informal work environment and a loyal, developed culture based around music and grass roots, employee driven community events. It was a highly valued employer in it's region (200+ employees) and brought a good number of top professionals into the area from outside who in turn spent money, volunteered in their community, raised families and generally made the region a better place (I guess not all locals would agree).

Cons

They had just cashed out (public to private) when I was hired. Bain Capitol (yes, the Mitt Romney version) bought them out and the culture has changed a lot since then.

Great homegrown company, sorry they left Medford.

Pros

Great team work, exciting products, good promotions and website, nice discounts on product, good cross-department interaction.

Cons

Tendency toward last minute changes to plans and promotions based on sales numbers. Not always sure it was the best course of action to change to a last-minute scramble promotion when so many well-thought-out pieces were already in place.
