Solid company with bright future
Pros
Historically Myriad has been a very fiscally responsible company and because of that job security for a biotech company is excellent. The company has recently rolled out a detailed business plan (2015) that should keep the company strong for years to come. In my opinion the work life/personal life balance at Myriad is very good. A 40-ish hour work week is the norm and they expect you to use your vacation time. If there is a project at risk of exceeding a deadline, you'll likely work more but only temporarily. Employees are very friendly and often get together to socialize after work. Insurance benefits have been very good with multiple options to choose from. Overall, it's not a bad place to work.
Cons
Salaries are not very generous, perhaps due to the fiscal responsibility of the company. It's a smaller company (but growing) so it takes time for career advancement opportunities to become available.
