There are great people and very interesting projects at NASA. Where else can you tour Mission Control Center for an on-the-job trip?

Cons

Low salary to start if you are entry-level. Difficult to transition from contractor to full-time civil servant.

Old boy network, you will not be promoted or given opportunities for professional development unless you are "connected." No new talent brought in, just rearranging the deck chairs of the senior executive staff, so they may gain experience for opportunities higher on the org chart.
