      Interesting and exciting subject matter.

      Cons

      Old boy network, you will not be promoted or given opportunities for professional development unless you are "connected." No new talent brought in, just rearranging the deck chairs of the senior executive staff, so they may gain experience for opportunities higher on the org chart.

      Pros

      Good people, good work environment. I had worked as research scientist for three years and I enjoyed working at NASA ames research center.

      Cons

      Strict security. You have to pass two security gates every time. Back ground check is strict as well. It took half a year to pass back ground check.
