Pros

Do the free veggies on Wednesday count? I tend to think not since they serve as lunch for most of us as we can barely afford to pay our bills.

Cons

Arrogant & untouchable managers, pathetic pay across the company, condescending treatment from those over you, lack of career development, terrible training in each department which is reflected in the poor customer service given by each department, and ridiculous benefits.

If you have raised concerns at NAVEX4NAVEX, each report we receive is fully investigated and we try to respond within 48 hours of each report. Know that you are heard, but sometimes this means a full investigation does not result in substantiated findings. I am sorry to hear this has been your experience, but we are doing a lot to offer opportunities to our employees. For example, we recently established several university partnerships where employees can receive discounted tuition to continue their education. We also brought on three new trainers to help our employees develop in their careers, along with the coaches available to our call center staff. If you would like additional resources, coaching, or guidance on possible career paths, we can provide more information there as well.

Pros

Management doesn't really micro-manage, primarily because they have so much on their plates. Employees care and are usually willing to drop what they're doing to assist. You have the ability to run your business and manage your calendar how you see fit which is nice. The PTO policy is relaxed.

Cons

Compensation is well below market and industry standards across the board. It's pretty embarrassing and it's obvious NAVEX really has no interest in fairly compensating their employees. The company was recently purchased by a private equity firm and this has suppressed raises but compensation was terrible before the acquisition. Pay is roughly 30-50% below market rate for a similar role in the software industry. There is little to no interest in rewarding/keeping top talent or developing some sort of career path (the organization is very flat). The compensation would be one thing if the benefits (medical, work from home policy, etc.) made up for the gap but unfortunately the benefits may be worse. Turnover is constant and management doesn't seem concerned, employees are viewed as replaceable and just part of the machine. Really bright and productive employees leave the organization for better opportunities on a consistent basis.

We have reviewed compensation metrics in our area and our industry, and we are not seeing the 30-50% pay difference that you noted above. We agree the pay for performance philosophy is helpful to our team members, and we have that model in place, under which we provide performance awards to our employees based on their merits. With regard to developing a career path, we have had 74 people promoted to new roles thus far in 2015 to support their career growth. That being said, I am hoping you will reach out to your manager or HR to address where you learned the original data you provided so we can correct those souces. We would also be happy to work with you to identify a career path and what next steps might be.

Pros

We say that we want to do the right things right. I think this is the true intention of those that work here. The quality of the people and their work is high as well. There is some work life balance and flexibility that is appreciated.

Cons

With such growth and change always at the forefront, life at Navex is always in flux. While this is exciting, there is a need to get back to basics as well and make sure folks' needs are met as employees and that products are well supported for clients.
