Pros

Nice offices, strong portfolio of projects

Cons

Severe micromanagement, disorganized leadership in NYC office, people play favorites, there are unfriendly and condescending people in positions of influence in the NYC studio. Leadership style does not inspire trust or confidence. I was given no work to do for months while repeatedly asking around for work to do, and quietly let go after being totally ignored for this time. Fake friendly culture.

Pros

Decent health benefit plan. Nice and talented coworkers.

Cons

Financial compensation is not in line with industry standards and they will low ball you into believing their offer is the best they can do. The salary does not reflect the years of experience or amount of work being done. Culture is nonexistent. Anyone writing a positive review about culture is lying. The office is your typical corporate setting and everyone is to themselves. There are rarely any events or team building activities. Thanksgiving was a potluck. Company does not splurge on employees ever. Holidays are low in comparison to other companies. They don’t observe Juneteenth or other federal holidays. Bereavement isn’t paid for and you’re expected to use your own personal time off. Office mandate is 4 days a week and parking is not paid for. It gets expensive to commute each day plus pay for parking that is not reimbursable. Talent development and onboarding is disorganized. Advocate meetings are supposed to happen yet they don’t get scheduled. I have been at the firm for a while and was never mentored or asked to provide a career path plan. While interviewing it took weeks to get a response or update from the recruiter. Workaholic atmosphere. No empathy for personal matters such as family emergency or natural disasters. The expectation is that the work never stops even if there is people misplaced due to a fire, stuck in a snow storm, etc. There is favoritism. Only the leadership roles get recognized and paid fairly. Some employees get to work fully remote while others are expected to be in office. That is not fair.
