      Pros

      I had one of the best peers around me. They were caring, kind and genuine. I have worked in this industry for awhile and never came across a group as good as the studio I worked in. I got one of the best training at NBBJ on how to see and produce deliverables in client's perspective. Also, how important it is to have a point of view. Very grateful for this training.

      Cons

      There is WAY too much politics at this firm. People constantly have to play the game right and watch over their shoulders. It distracted me from focusing on my work. Partners need to stop fighting and stop trying to prove themselves among each other. HC leadership is broken and it is not about collaboration but it is about positioning. Leadership fosters process improvement but they themselves don't follow it.

      Pros

      High degree of corporate transparency - a lot of information is available and freely given if you ask. Management devoted a lot of time and thought to developing a recession strategy that served them quite well compared to the broader architectural community.

      Cons

      Chasing fads and ideas more than creating them. Corporate culture is overbearing and too focused on the bottom line. Culture schism between offices. Benefits could be more generous.
