Pros
NBBJ's firm culture is highly collaborative, and I truly believe the opinion of every team member is respected & valued. The work product from the architects & designers is high level, but how they achieve great results is astounding. There is such strong talent on full display each day - info-sharing and accountability are at the center of how they work. There is a wonderful sense of family with this office community, where each person genuinely cares about this place and all people in it. A win for one individual is celebrated across the firm as a win for all. From the start of my time at NBBJ, I've felt supported and like my leader believes in me. I have the tools/resources to learn and contribute to the business in meaningful ways. My confidence in role continues to evolve as I'm provided the opportunity to stretch and grow.
Cons
The commute is a hard adjustment, but not a controllable piece of the job. Being together in the office outweighs the concern of commuting into work 4 days each week. The firm is growing, and my area of it is evolving - there are a lot of opportunities to build more rigor/process into the day-to-day. HR technology is an opportunity, however the Digital team truly listens and provides internal tools to meet the needs of the [HR] business.
