Pros

Decent pay, good exposure to learn a lot of things and interact with leadership on a personal level

Cons

Work here if you want to be in office almost everyday with covid going on. Multiple confirm cases of covid with employees that tested positive and still forced to come in. Micromanaging and if you work hard, your reward will be given more projects and assignments for “growth” opportunities. Realistically a 1-2 percent annual raise here.. your opinions get shot down if brought up so no need to bring up ideas or thoughts. It’s not gonna be utilized since they have a way to follow things done in the past. Let’s focus on a new future and something not as outdated in the past

Pros

Solidly capitalized, promotes from within, executive management is easily accessible, customer service focused. As someone that was promoted 2 times in 4 years believe me when I say that you will be recognized for your efforts. There are workers that feel simply because they have been with the company for X number of years, they should be promoted to a management level. That is not how this company (or any company for that matter) should work, and it’s definitely not how NBH works. I have found executive management to be easily accessible and understanding of difficult situations. If you are looking to enter into the world of banking, this is an excellent company to start with and build a solid career foundation for yourself.

Low pay comparatively speaking, too much confusion in upper management regarding job responsibilities, outdated technology (although this is improving)
