Pros

- The Culture - The Associates - Benefits: PTO & 401k - Access to Leadership - Work Life Balance - Community Involvement

Cons

This is not really a con, but the company has very traditional values, which I personally love. If you work hard, are loyal to the bank, and the community, it will take a little time to advance, but the bank is loyal in return and will invest in you as an associate. There are ample opportunities if you are willing to take initiative and work hard. But I’ve seen a lot of younger employees bristle at the company’s more traditional values.

Pros

No job is perfect, but I think management does a good job keeping morale up and making sure we’re doing our jobs and doing it well. Work can be tough sometimes, but it’s rewarding at the end of the day.

Cons

Tough sales culture. Performance is everything.

Pros

NBH Bank is a good place to get a start. They have a great environment, seem to be the most willing to hire candidates with little or no bank experience especially if you apply to teller pool. The people are nice in general and management is good too. I traveled to a lot of branches and the environment was always pleasant. They health benefits are affordable and cover a lot. The dress code here is lax, as long as you still look professional they’re not going to micromanage your wardrobe. Paid vacation and sick days and holidays are off and paid for like most banks. The job for me was a fairly steep learning curve but the training was great and lengthy and once you get used to it it’s very easy.

Cons

The pay is not that good. It could be better, especially considering how many customers you deal with every day.
